About Pooja
Ganga Puja is a religious ritual that involves the worship of the sacred river Ganga. The Ganga River in Prayagraj is considered a holy river and it is believed that taking a dip in the Ganga will purify your soul. This puja is performed on the ghat of Ganga. The worship of Maa Ganga is one of the most important rituals in Hinduism. It is believed that Maa Ganga has the power to wash away any sin of any person.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Ma Ganga is done with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then offering of flowers, fruits, prasad etc by the pujari with the help of mantras and by following all the Vedic rituals. At last, aarti is done by the Pujari and then blessings are taken by the devotees.
